In addition, the Purchaser may also conduct virtual inspections based on the following criteria:
- Availability of remote monitoring technology and equipment at the supplier’s facility
- Supplier’s willingness to allow virtual inspection
- Adequate communication channels between the Purchaser and supplier for real-time collaboration during the inspection
- Compliance with local laws and regulations regarding virtual inspections
The decision to conduct a virtual inspection will be made jointly by the Purchaser and supplier, with mutual agreement on the scope, methodology, and schedule of the inspection. The results of the virtual inspection will be documented and treated in the same manner as an in-person inspection report.
