The command “encap seg6local action End.DX4 nh4” is used to encapsulate a Segment Routing (SR) header in an IPv6 packet. The “action End.DX4” specifies that the SR processing should end at this node and the payload of the packet should be delivered to the next hop using IPv4. The “nh4” parameter specifies the next-hop IPv4 address for forwarding the packet.
When a router receives an SRv6 packet with this encapsulation, it will strip off the SR header and forward the original IPv6 packet towards its destination based on its routing table. This process is known as SRv6 decapsulation or un-encapsulation.
