Design of Cherry Irrigation System for Haiyan Village Lvfachang
Introduction: Haiyan Village Lvfachang is a cherry farm located in Qinghai Province, China. The purpose of this project is to design an efficient irrigation system that will increase the yield and quality of cherry crops while conserving water resources.
Scope: The irrigation system will cover an area of 10 hectares and will include drip irrigation technology, water pumps, pipes, valves and control systems. The system should be designed to provide the required amount of water to the crops at different stages of growth.
Design:
Water source: The water source for the irrigation system will be taken from a nearby river. A pump station will be constructed to lift the water from the river into a storage tank.
Storage tank: A concrete storage tank with a capacity of 50 cubic meters will be constructed on site to store the water pumped from the river.
Distribution pipes: PVC pipes with a diameter of 63mm will be used as distribution pipes for conveying water from the storage tank to individual plants.
Drip irrigation technology: The drip irrigation system will be used for watering plants. Each plant will have one or two drippers depending on its size and water requirement.
Control systems: An automatic control system with sensors and timers will be installed to regulate the flow rate and timing of water delivery based on weather conditions and crop requirements.
Conclusion: The proposed cherry irrigation system is expected to increase crop yields while reducing water consumption by up to 50%. It is also expected to improve fruit quality and reduce labor costs associated with manual watering methods.
