The thermal catalytic activity of CZO, Ni@CZO, Ni@CeO2, Ni@ZrO2 and Ni/CZO catalysts was evaluated in a fixed bed reactor. A mixture of 0.05 g of the catalyst and 0.3 g of quartz sand was carefully placed at the center of a quartz reactor supported by quartz wool. The reaction temperature was controlled with a tubular electric furnace. In-situ reduction was conducted by passing 5 vol% H2/Ar at a flow rate of 30.2 mL min-1 for one hour at 700 °C prior to the experiment. Subsequently, the gas stream was changed to a mixture of CH4/CO2/Ar (10/10/80 vol%) to determine thermocatalytic activity at different temperatures. The reactants and products were measured using GC-9560 gas chromatograph equipment.
